The Pogues, more Jacqueline Wilson, Spinal Tap, The Darkness and Father Ted

Lookit what I got. Tis the Jacqueline Wilson annual 2015! I’ve read about half of it so far – for some presents, it’s acceptable to be antisocial – and, as with anything JW, it’s really rather simply super. (Me meeting the esteemed lady herself is here.)
Indeedly, I have had lots of lovely pressies and – I hope – given some too, and pffft, am working on 26 Dec but pffft again. As with yesterday, merry Santaness to all. Three essential clips to sign off on the season:
Also, Christmas Father Ted is On Right Now.
'You let Dougal do a funeral!'; ‘He's under Liars rather than Twats'; Mrs Doyle’s smugpression when she gets the name of ‘Father Todd’ right; the sheer awfulness of a rural event in a field trying to let on it’s the Baftas, and, as always, ‘The money was just resting in my account’ = lulz.
But I do still need the eyebleach after seeing Mrs Doyle snog Nick Cotton last week in Eastenders. Shudder. My eyes my eyes. More - unfortunately - to follow.
