I'm an Irish writer and journalist living in London. My first novel, Taste the Bright Lights, was published to critical acclaim in March 2008; its second edition was published in November 2010 and it was longlisted for the Mslexia Children's Novel Competition 2012. Its latest edition has been rewritten for the adult/crossover market and is available on Kindle, in epub format, in paperback, or email me for signed copies here.

I have an MA in Arts in the Community, specialiing in creative writing/cultural studies, a PGDip in magazine journalism from City University, and have worked full time as a writer and editor since 2005, with dozens of publishing credits in UK, Irish and worldwide newspapers and magazines. I've also been the blogger for an award-winning UK travel site since 2009, writing on essential UK travel topics such as cheese, birdwatching, Scottish whisky and the Tolkien Trail (read more here).
